Memories into Dumbledore and Voldemort's past are leading to a secret truth that Harry must find from a brand new professor.
All the while various occurrences caused by Voldemort's Death Eaters as well as a mysterious plot that Harry suspects from old rivalries may actually be more than he thinks.
The movie ends with truths revealed as well as terrible tragedies. Still, its a great story, leading up to the final chapters in the Harry Potter saga.
I also particularly enjoy stories that reveal more about the villain. I definitely enjoy the Voldemort flashbacks. Though much was missing from the books that could have made it even better.

We thought it was Amazon, so we went to the local movie shop and bought those same 3 movies Azkaban, Prince, and Hallows P1 , in the same format, and those special features discs did not work either.
So we took them back to the store, the nice employees there tested them on their blu-ray player we were using a PS4 at home , and the discs were still unrecognized.
So it is most definitely a fault in the discs. The only movie we didn't buy on Amazon in this format was HP5.
We ended up buying the 2 disc special edition in DVD format from the movie shop and the discs work perfectly! One person found this helpful.
Mostly a buyer note. The title of the item does not say multi-format so I never thought over many years to check for a UV expiration date. If it did maybe I would have considered buying it literally 20 days earlier So, 4 stars for expired UV because that's just irritating.
Item is otherwise in perfect condition and has an attractive new coverr for your collection's upgrade to blu ray. There's a sticker on the back of the box but not the front.
Blu-ray is so much crisper and sharper than the standard DVD. This comes with 2 Blu-ray disc. Of of them is the movie and other has over 2 hours worth of "behind the scene's, interviews, deleted scenes, etc.
You can even watch the full movie with the deleted scenes too. I highly recommend this, more than an awesome value for the price! As I have stated before in some of my earlier reviews, its obvious that you cannot take a book that has more pages and words than bees have hives and make a movie.
You can however, take a book and make a movie that stays true to form and does its best to keep up with the pace of the original novel.
The acting in this movie was great. I feel that Alan Rickman, Michael Gambon, and even Tom Felton though he is a bit of a cry baby at times in this one shine in this movie especially.

And that is only the beginning of the mystery. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince deals with issues such as: love, loyalty, and sacrifice. The tone of the movie overall can be described as engagingly humorous, eagerly romantic, but as serious as the book is; some even argue that this is one of the darker stories in the series, I can be inclined to agree tremendously.

When you think it can't getter any darker, it pulls the rug from beneath you. Literally starting of from where it left of last time, the end of this one makes you want to watch it again and again.
Voldermorts death eaters are in full vengeance and no on is safe. Harry and friends are now in sixth form and there is a lot of romantic themed dilemmas to break the tension a bit.
With a full blown tragedy at the end Harry and friends are more united then ever and leave the year resolved to find the horcruxes which will end Voldermort.
A lot of the main actors actually look quite bored and it does make it less enjoyable to watch, but it is no more distracting than the overaly posh accents the first 2 are blighted by.

Beides zusammen macht es Harry nicht gerade leicht. Slughorn kommt als neue Figur in die Reihe dazu. Ansonsten sind die Schauspieler gleich wie in den Filmen zuvor.
Die Musik finde ich weiterhin toll. Der 4. Teil ist meiner Meinung nach schon gruseliger gewesen. Ins gesamt ein guter Film.

This" ' film ' " says this is the property of the Half-Blood Prince" '. This is yet another great film within the entire "Harry Potter" film franchise.
The sixth in the series, "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince" boasts, as with all of the other films, non-stop action, special effects, drama and last but certainly not least, magic!
It picks up immediately in the Department of Mysteries, within the Ministry of Magic, with all cameras blazing, but Harry is not exactly pleased by this response from the press, given that none of them would believe him after he claimed that he witnessed Voldemort's rebirth in the first place.
Albus Dumbledore, however, has other suspicions about Voldemort, and Harry must see fit to follow Dumbledore's lead than he would usually do; whatever you may say about Harry, he does get himself into loads of trouble!
The level of creepiness and suspense, balanced by good humour and the trials of romance throughout the entire movie is perfect, and for the first time the whole aspect of becoming a Death Eater is explored extremely well with it showing just how hard and horrible a job it is to be such a hard hearted villain for the latest antagonist in the story, and to do the nasty deeds it entails while under immense pressure.
One niggle that I have is with the new addition of Mrs. Malfoy, played by Helen Mcrory; for me she is just too easily outshone in her debut role as a "Harry Potter" character when standing next to the likes of Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange, so it's a treat to see Mcrory wield a wand and show more fear of and resistance to Voldemort in "The Deathly Hallows" since Mrs Malfoy is as much a favourite character of mine as her sister Bellatrix.

This is my second favourite of the Harry Potter film franchise behind Prisoner of Azkaban which in my opinion is by far the most stylish outing for the harry Potter gang but this is not too far off if I am honest.
This sets us up well for the final 2 films and does a very good job of doing it. The acting, as with all Harry Potter films tends to be a bit hit and miss and there are still some of those moments in this, despite them all being, lets be honest, adults.
Some of the acting is good, don't get me wrong but they still have those cringe moments. The music is good, I have the soundtrack too and the visual effects as always, as with any film now-a-days, are top notch and completely up to scratch.

I was instantly hooked and from then on I bought the books and films as they came out. I didn't get the chance to see this lastest film on the cinema due to moving and so I decided to wait until this film came out on dvd and then I purchased it and watched it within a couple of days.
What can you say? Well, the scenes and graphics are amazing as ever and the same can be said for the acting is as good as ever, however I was bored by half way through the film and for me it did not improve because the story line was weak.
The book to me was weaker than the others No reflection on JK Rowling she is an excellent author , so by the time it was adapted to film it was missing even more of the story.
This was the one film in the series which could have done with everything in the book to be adapted to film and may be a bit more poetic licence to exaggerate key features in the book to make the film more exciting.
To me it was just brought out as money spinner without making it into an amazing film. Many other people will feel differently about this than me and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
